Can you send the signal to a PA
and use the amp like a monitor ?
If so how?

Sure. Stick a mic in front of the amp.

Why didn't you say so?

Yes, that should work. Line out is unbalanced though, so make sure you use an unbalanced input to the PA.

Yes, if you plug a mono guitar jack into the 'Pre-Amp Out' jack at the back (Unbalanced), you can run that to a PA and you will hear your amp and the PA at the same time. The sound going to th PA will be your Amps selected channel plus Reverb setting. The PA sound will however not sound as good as your amp does as it doesn't have the VALVE back-end unaltered by buffers and EQ's but you may be able to get it close by playing with the PA settings. That is why generally putting a MIC in fromt of your amp is a more prefered method. If you want to only run your amp through a PA and not hear your physical amp then you need to put a "SHORTED" mono jack into the "Power Amp In" jack to mute your amp.

I've had similar questions about mine, which is actually a 94 Twin, not a Supersonic Twin, but maybe what I've found can help here (and might answer my own question).

I couldn't find the manual for the Supersonic Twin online, but AFAIK it is a direct descendant of the 94 Twin, so I'd guess that they're similar enough.

My 94 Twin does have a line-out in the back and the manual says this about it:

Quote:
P. BALANCED LINE OUT — This XLR jack provides a transformer
coupled, balanced, floating ground output which can be used to
drive slave power amps, or with proper equalization, used as a send
to a mixing console for recording or sound reinforcement.

Skipping some stuff about driving slave amps.

Quote:
If the BALANCED LINE OUT is used as a send to a mixing console, it
should normally be pre-equalized before going to the console input.
What works well is to run the BALANCED LINE OUT signal through
a low-pass filter set to 5 to 6 kHz. The $@!&# of the filter needs to be
steep, 18 dB per octave minimum. A handy way to do this is to use
the low-pass output of an active crossover, or to use a parametric
equalizer. By tweaking the equalization, some very useful sounds
can be obtained.

So, I'm not technically minded on this stuff to know exactly what this means, but I have a friend who's more knowledgeable about the technical side of this stuff and he's puzzled by the way this is worded, because if it really is a balanced line out, it shouldn't need tweaking before being sent out.

It also has pre-Amp In and pre-Amp Out and mentions this as a "Unbalanced" signal that can be used in a similar manner as the above.

Unfortunately the supersonic has NO XLR outputs or "Balanced" outputs of any kind so the 94 Twin is not too similar. The Supersonic only has an effects loop out pre-reverb (but this cannot be used for PA routing unless you have a signal splitter), and a "pre-amp out" which is post reverb (this can be used as it sends a signal out without disrupting the signal to the amp power section), and both are "unbalanced".

That's too bad. I know that the Supersonic Twin shares quite a few other features/design elements with the 94 Twin, so I thought it might share that, too.
