Ok... last night I had a gig and we were the second band playing... When they finish and I was setting my amp the sound guy came and told me that there wasn't time to do that, I have to use the amp already there... OH MY... a crappy line 6, I think the guitar sounds better amplified through a cellphone :/

WHY?... because my marshall is to big (head and 4X10 cab)... I had to take to the venue and my bandmates moms car... And I didn't use it... this wouldn't be a problem with a pro junior... Next purchase on my list...

Let me get this straight. You're replacing a Marshall head and 4x10 cab with a Pro Jr? That's like replacing a Mack truck with a Subaru. You sure you want to go that small?

Actually, surprised you're gigging with a Marshall and a 4x10 - that's probably way too big for most of the shows you're playing.

Pro Jr. is a good amp, but it's not very loud. Unless you're only playing at gigs where they're micing the amp through the PA, may not be loud enough.

I'd recommend 22 watts as the minimum, 40 watts as really all you need for club shows. A Deluxe Reverb and a Pro Reverb fit both extremes nicely.

Yeah... the problem is that I play a gig every 2 months or so... And I have this big amp is just uncomfortably... I don't even have a car to carry the amp around... And the gigs venues in my country are to small (like 200 - 300 people the biggest one) of course I'm planning to keep the marshall with me just in case I need to play somewhere else... But do you really think 15watts is too quiet for small gigs :?:

A 1 x 12 tube combo with 20 to 25 watts will cover a lot of ground.

Without a car, your options are limited, but the Marshall is too big. Keep it if you want, but know that you'll probably have it in storage for a while...

Plus for that size venue, 15 watts won't cut above a drum set on a stage, so you won't be able to hear yourself.

a 20-25 watt amp as Arjay and I have said will work, but hopefully for these size shows there is a PA and the amps are mic'd. If not, you and the band will have to work very carefully to keep stage volume down. Rule of thumb - if you can't hear the drums, you're too loud...

Please note I'm guessing your gigs are all indoors; if outdoors 40 watts is a good minimum.

mmm... damn I'm not happy with the idea of a bigger amp hehe... but what I'll do is try it with our drummer beating the cymbals up (as he usually does) hehe if not I'll search another amp :/
