what you are most likely hearing is a microphonic pre-amp tube.

Google it, it's relatively easy to diagnose, and it can be fixed by finding the tube that's doing it, and pluck it out and replace it with another.. it's very common and of course, no way to know if the new tube wont do it too.. so maybe pick up a few..

So, you are suggesting a simple replacement of tubes
or better matching of tubes should solve the problem?

Why did he experience the problem with different amps?

"repalcement tubes"

That is what's worked for me. It was almost always a pre-amp tube

"why with different amps"

I've been here, when I bought my first tube amp back in like 95, I went thru the same dance, thought there was something wrong, took it back to the store and tried several of the same amps. They all did it. I bought a new (better set) of pre-amp tubes, and that resolved it, until the tubes started to wear down and it returned. But by then I knew what the deal was..

I have three tube amps a Fender HR 4x10 Deville, a Marshall JTM60-212, and a Gibson Goldtone GA30RVS-212. at one time or another, they have all done this.

If the OP is hearing what I think he is hearing, (and it sure sounds it) It's probably at least worth a try.

This is one link that explains how to find the culprit.

Are you sure it's not just the new unbroken in speaker? Mine farted for awhile, & buzed on certain notes but after it was broken in it was fine. Just one possibility out many.

I dunno.. I think he's hearing "tube whine".. the low B & C notes was exactly when mine would do it too.

Interesting how the speaker "fixes itself".

Elaborate on the effects of overtightening the speaker nuts. Is there a danger of twisting the speaker chassis, or stripping the cabinet wood or compressing the mounting rubber so that the speaker cone touches the baffle? What have you experienced before with this issue?

Hey guys thanks for all of your comments thus far. When I got back home last week I wanted to try all of your suggestions. The first comment I took into consideration was Hou-Tex's comment that I might be pixel peeping or just looking for a reason to trash Fender. I thought for a while was I being to critical but when I turned the amp volume up to 4 the buzzing or rattle sound became much worse. I then tried to tighten any loose screws but the buzzing persisted. I was going to tighten the speaker nuts, but based on Arjays comment I decided not to make this adjustment but the speaker did seem nice and tight. I then checked for microphonic pre amp tubes but nothing seemed to be wrong there. After checking for the sound with my ear close to the front of the amp the sound seems to be coming from the front of the amp right near where it says Deluxe Reverb Amp. I then sat on the amp where I heard the sound coming from and the amp no longer buzzed. Tightened the chassis screws and the jewel lamp but it still buzzes very bad. Fender has suggested I Fedex it to a repair shop and they have been very good in responding to my e-mails and working with me to resolve the problem. It seems like a simple problem but off to the shop it goes. I'll let you know what they find.

Have you checked that the handle and chassis are tightly secured to the cab?

Also, that the logo on the grille cloth is not loose?
Push in on that as you try to reproduce the buzz.
