I'd be interested in trying my white '60's Kustom bass cabinet (2 12" CTS - 8 ohms) with my Super Sonic 112 (with its speaker unplugged) in 'bassman' mode with my Jazz Bass. This would be at low volume - any danger of this screwing up the amp? How about doing the same with my '65 DRRI?

I see no potential for harm so long as the guitar speakers are disconnected from the amp. The DRRI operates at optimum with an 8-ohm load. A 4-ohm load is permissable with a guitar but I'm not sure I'd chance it with a bass instrument since the extreme low frequencies will approach the DC point (which few transformer-coupled amps like). I'm betting the Super Sonic will sound cleaner than the DRRI since there is more available power.
