Any pics?

I have a sunburst '57 that I periodically use for slide work -- perfect for that fat "Animal Trainer And The Toad" vibe.

A '57 Sunburst or Goldtop would be a dream!

Not sure how this pic with Ampzilla will display but if you need some decent photos of a mod'd '60 Les Paul Jr I can have my wife take some better pictures with her camera. When I bought the guitar I changed the tuners and bridge straight away. Even back then I was told this mod would devalue the guitar. Didn't care then and don't care now because this guitar is not for sale.

Much better. Even with a 22" monitor I couldn't fit it on the screen.

Very nice guitar and amp.

LP Jr's are pretty solid guitars. Here's my '57......

Image

I had a Baddass like yours on it at one time but it seemed to exact a penalty in overall sustain so I took it off.

Nice! When you said '57 sunburst I just assumed the Standard. Yes, the Jr is a very solid guitar! I went with the Badass for the intonation.

Here tis in a more compressed version

I have one of these on order from Sweetwater. Not as nice as ya'lls, but its what I can afford. I'm gonna mod the heck out of it with a better pickup, intonatable bridge, locking tuners, better electronics, etc. :D

With the advice of a guitar tech that I respect, a few years ago I bought a '90s Mex Strat (my 2nd electric!) and replaced all of the electronics; Vintage Noiseless pups w/new pots and a fixed bridge. Plays and sounds pretty good to me! If it wasn't for the decal on the headstock, I wouldn't know. Bought a Danelectro '57 that's really cool and fun to play

lipstick humbucker!

My point, I think a guitar is what you make of it. Vintage is OK but I wouldn't pay those prices they command these days.

+1000, Robert!

A Fender MIM Strat is like a '69 Camaro......built to be modded.
