To save room in my small music room I stacked my DRRI ontop of a Mesa 2x12 (it is contacted to a MiniRec head). Can I also plug the DRRI into the cabinet? I don't want to shuffle chords, just plug and play. If so what kind of chord should I use? Sorry if this is a simple/stupid question, only been playing about 3 years haven't tried anything like this. Thanks.

Mark

If your Mesa-Boogie cab is 8 or 16 ohms, it's doable.

Use a speaker cable to connect it to your DRRI's external speaker jack -- NOT a guitar cord.

+1 Retroverbial

It almost sounds like the OP wants to use the cab for both amps at the same time. If the MB cab has "stereo" capability and each of the speakers can be connected to a different amp independently, then no problem connecting both amps at the same time.

Just a thought, but if you are talking about using the same speaker(s) connected to both amps at the same time, probably not the best idea. Although using the same speaker(s) for two amps at the same time will work fine at lower volumes, you might do some damage if the volume is cranked on either amp.

Just want to be clear as the OP said that the cab was already connected to a MB amp and he said "also" connect to the DRRI.

+1, shimmilou.

No loudspeaker or loudspeaker system should ever be connected to more than one amp simultaneously.

The sole exception would be a multiple-driver system that is dual-configurable for mono OR independent stereo operation. In that instance, each of the isolated speakers (or pair of speakers) can safely be wired to a separate amp when the system is used in the stereo mode.

No I was just talking about using the Speaker output on the DRRI. So I would have 3 speakers instead of one. But looks like I have to switch the cable to do it, only 1x 8 OHM input on the back of the cabinet. Tried it already worked great. BTW I don't want to run the minirec through the DRRI, just the DRRI through the MB cabinet . Sorry for the confusion. thanks for the help.
