I have a Frontman 65r. If i buy a Superchamp x2; can I plug it into the frontman line in or input and use it as a cab/ use the superchamp as a preamp?

Hi Synthetik420dtk,

You can plug guitar into the X2 input, then plug the X2 "Line Out" into the FM input. This way the controls on both amps work. Be careful of the volume on the X2, if too loud you can cause squeal in the FM, or worse. The vol of both amps will be controlled by their respective vol controls, and the vol of the X2 will affect the vol of the FM when connected this way.

Or, with guitar plugged into X2, plug the X2 line out into the FM "Power Amp In", which will bypass the FM vol and tone controls, and the X2 will be the master vol and tone for both amps.

In either case, you will use power amp section of both amps, and both speakers, and neither will be a "cab only".

Hope this is what you are asking.

This is the way I use them (having the same pair of amps), using second IN - lower impedance or Power In, if need both speakers at higher volume. Sounds great!
