Loungers, several questions on the Vibrolux:

-I have noticed that in multiple past threads the V Custom has taken a beating, but since the comments were in the context of another amp, the bad stuff was not expounded on. Recently I played a used VCust at GC and it sounded terrible, particularly bottom and top end unclear, and bad when distorted. But played a new one elsewhere and this 2x10 sounded a lot better than the used (durability problems?) Comments please on this amp.

-Have gone looking for vintage BF and early SF Vibroluxes, where are they?

-Vintage Sound Amps and Marsh make their Vibrolux versions, what say the Loungers about those?

-While we are at it, on Vintage and Marsh how about their 1x15 Vibroverb style efforts?

Where are the BF and SF Vibrolux Reverbs?....they have been snatched up and the few that are for sale fetch a high price, because they are one of the best Fender amps of all time....I own a 1967 BF and it's my favorite of several vintage amps....I looked for a long time to find it at a decent price...I considered going with the Marsh or Vintage Sound amps, because they looked really well made...I think it was the Vintage Sound amp that I favored,I looked at several online,I'm not fond of all orange drop caps in the circuit board and Marsh seemed to use them I think, and the Vintage Sound had two bias test points to plug your meter into to measure voltage while biasing the output tubes...I think I remember that brand as having that feature,I'll check to see if that's right.
The Vibrolux Reverb is a great amp to gig with,it's light to carry around, the 2x10s are good speakers for guitar, but I go with Weber speakers in all of mine, that makes a difference to my ears...and @ 35 watts the VR has enough power to cut through the mix even with a fairly loud drummer, and our drummer is fairly loud, for a big inside venue,I'll mic my amp,it usually goes no higher than 6 on the volume, and has a full rich tone into the beginning of smooth breakup...perfect for my blues/rock style. :D

here's the link to the amp that I was really getting serious about looking into, and I would still consider one...not only does it have bias test points but seperate bias adjustment pots to set the bias on each power tube,a very cool feature,...imho.
Check these out.

+1

I've been gunning for a decent vintage VR for quite some time now. Its combination of features makes it far more versatile for many venues than either a Pro Reverb or Super Reverb. As an aside, I discussed a "straight" PCB re-issue of this model with Shane Nichols of FMIC over a year ago but frankly, he didn't seem very convinced of such an amp's potential marketability. The continued slump in new TRRI and SRRI sales might change some minds though. Time will tell......

Exactly Arjay,it would be a great one for Fender to really do up right....my '66 Pro Reverb sounds great for larger rooms, but I favor my VR so much for every gig situation now days,it's really a hard one to beat.
