Fender Frontman 25R is a nice little amp for around $140 new. I have one, and it is a good practice/recording amp. Don't expect too much from it tho.

Hello Paisley Strat,

I've got Frontman25r it's a decade old
and never failed me. I like it for its
squeeky clean sound, but mostly I play
through my blues jr.

Cheers.

My favorite small amp is the Crate V1512. I can get anything from Saldano leads to crushing marshall style tones and decent blue rock tones at any volume and there freaking cheap. Get one for about $250 or so and throw a Warehouse V30 clone in there for $45 and you will be blown away. I need to put up some clips of this thing so people can hear the versitility.

A Fender Frontman 10. Ten watts. about $60.00. Or a Traynor Studio Mate 10. about $55.00 Cdn. Both have overdrive and headphone jacks. Six inch speaker. Good for practicing late at night or in a motel room without disturbing the guests. I bought the Traynor so when I travel with my wife in the summer it won't take up too much room in the van. Beats lugging a '65' Twin reverb Custom 15 or my Fender 900 Deluxe.

The frotman 15 is alright too. Just a little bigger.

Hope this helps.

Ken :D
