I've got one for a backup in my band's trailer. I've used it before playing gigs and only the cork sniffing musician's said anything. I then put a "twin amp" sticker over the FM212 logo. Played another gig and now I got compliments on how great my "Twin" sounded. Frankly, I sound like me on any amp I play through, so don't let any amp snobs stop you from buying it. It is a good, loud amp. It sounds best loud. Use an EQ if you play low volume.

So you are saying that all the professional musicians that prefer tube amps over solid state are "cork sniffers"?

Better a cork sniffer than a cork soaker.

LMFAO

I guess I'll always be a cork-sniffer and leave the consumer-grade crap to the hoi polloi.

Owning a vintage blackface Fender means never having to say you're sorry because your tone sucked.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I say, depending on your age, experience level, still learning?, still developing a style? Go ahead and buy it. As you develop your style, try to save some money for a good professional amp. And then either sell the FM212 or keep it for a backup. Regardless of the quality of the pro amp you get, vintage or not, it is going to to fail at some point in time (always during a gig.) We all carry a backup. (some have backups that are twins, no pun intended.)
