I've got an old Solid State Princeton 112 Plus amp.
http://support.fender.com/manuals/guita ... manual.pdf

It has now an excessive treble output...

ON CLEAN: treble past "5" gets quite harsh (less than that... becomes dull).
ON DRIVE: even when the treble is at "0" it has no body, and treble is quite annoying.

Does the amp have any components that may be too old?
What kind of problems should I be looking for here?

Thanks!
Leo

Hi lerik,

:?

Considering that you are talking about the same "problem" on two completely separate circuits, I doubt that anything is wrong on either channel. Is this something that happened while playing, and you noticed it compared to the sound before?

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
