I'm curious and looking for opinions from owners who have played
through 'em at a gig or rehearsal...or even alone.

A friend ordered one as soon as they were announced and they told
him to expect it by mid-April.

I wish it had 'verb, but seems like they were going after the old/retro
vibe sound with this one. I have heard the vibrato is a bias based. We will see.

Hey mike,
Check this out.
2 birds with one stone kinda thing. 2012 American standard
Strat with cs fat 50s,(major gass-age) and the excelsior.
Sounds really good, for the price I might even jump on one.

That's cool, but I'd be still interested to hear from owners
and what their thoughts on it are. It's starting to show up
in the local retailers shops now.

"It's a cool little amp, very well made, and I think it has a lot of upside potential"

Billm put a page up on his site with some internal pics of the Excelsior.

I really want to blow some harp through this amp.I have a $10.00 gift certificate for GC that expires tomorrow and I need a new harp in Bb. I really want to try one of these new crossover harps or a manji and I may drop the coin on one and if that excelsior amp is there I'm gonna check it out for sure.

I've had one for about 9 days. At first I loved it. Now I have a faint high pitch ringing that won't go away. I'm very frustrated. Don't know how to fix. I always played solid state amps and a tech at guitar center told me that there's nothing I can do except get a better shielded cable. Said teles just do that. I'm hoping to get a different opiniion from somewhere bc my G&L Legacy gets the same noise.

Sounds tinny and thin to me, even on the neck pickup. Not a tone I would spend any money for. :|

Your other thread has already been responded to - you probably have a microphonic tube. The "tech" at GC is a moron. It's not a cable problem and Teles definitely don't "just do that".

+1 You'd expect more bottom end from a 15" speaker.

Many factors to consider when judging sound from a video.

The video/mic source especially.

+1

It's imperative to audition any piece of audio gear in person.
