Hey guys!
Just wondering if anyone can chime in and tell what the problem is here.
I have a brand new SS 60 head and when I'm using the effects loop I hear this "ringing"!
It has nothing to do with pedals 'cause if I patch cord the loop to use as a boost the "ringing" is still there. It's so sensitive that when I adjust the send or output knobs, touch the inserted patch cord or tap on the amp head the "ringing" elevates! With the effects loop off there is no ringing.
Any ideas?

The effects loop is buffered by V4-B and V5-A:

Sounds like one of those two tubes is microphonic. With the loop engaged, tap gently on each tube with the eraser end of a pencil and see which one reacts.

If it is not, take advantage of your warranty.

best suggestion- if you are close enough to the store you got it from, they should be able to help.
