I have an opportunity to purchase a pretty much mint condition Tonemaster head w/ TM 2-12 cab for an unusually low price (plus expensive shipping). I would appreciate comments that forum members may have to a prospective buyer like myself, on the amp itself and especially given the low price (which raises suspicions in my mind). BTW - I have seen photos and spoken with the owner.

Thanks,

JR

The TM was the last truly professional amp that FMIC ever built IMO. There are no fizz/hiss issues, it's handwired for easy maintenance, and built ruggedly enough to withstand the "Ford F150 pickup" test. No glow-in-the-dark grill cloth, no bio-degradeable Tolex, no trendy blinking lights or complex control array that rivals the overwhelming cockpit layout of an A380 Airbus......just solid Fender tone, simple to operate, and constructed sturdily enough that your great-grandkids will be playing it long after you've started your dirt nap.

Comments Welcome.
