I love my Tweed Blues Jr., but you should know its a different amp than the blue and black model. Its called the NOS (New Old Stock) version, to look like the vintage amps. It has a different speaker, for example, so its not just a BJ in tweed clothing. More expensive, too. But I think it sounds better. The fact that it looks like a vintage amp is just a bonus.

Go get one. You won't be disappointed.

The black version is also available in blonde toltex:

Check GC or MF.

The Tweed is different from the blonde, mostly the covering and a speaker upgrade.

I like the blondes, too. For the sake of comparison, here is my Tweed NOS. You can see the difference between this one and the blondes.

Really, are they that hard to find now? I just ordered one through my local GC, but that was last summer. They eventually found one, took about a week.

Newbocaster, report back and let us all know when you get yours, and whether you had trouble locating one. Good luck.

I just purchased a Blond Blues Junior. I haven't had a tube amp in about 20 years and my question is how long should it take it to warm up? Thanks for your help.

I get sound in under 30 seconds, but I usually let it warm up for about 5 minutes before I play.

The Tweeds are starting to trickle in. I Paid for one in early February and it finally arrived March 21. I should add that I refused to take a floor model, but I think even those were gone in every store in Los Angeles. So be prepared to wait....it's worth it though!
