While cleaning and sorting my backingtracks, I stumbled over this one... called Gospelblues (must have found it on the Internet)

My Epi Dot called... no sorting done anymore.
After a dry run I started recording and this (the larger part) came out.
A day later, I was triggered to retake the Starting part, I left out earlier and do a small retake on a mishap that was to clear.
I called it SE (Yes, because of my Cybertwin SE)

Has a familiar touch, maybe I should rename this song~~ to "Greeny shade of blues" in stead of using "Blues to be"

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6391749

All recording is done with my Cybertwin SE, Epiphone Dot (lefty) and my computer with a EMU 0404 soundcard. I feel like this amp can do almost anything that I want. I love it, not because it sounds exactly like those famous (tube) amps, but just for what it is, a damn good amp, it prcisly fills my needs.
No, I don't gig with it, simply because my fingers go beserk the second I have public. It's me not the Amp that keeps it home :?

Hope you like it.

/Hans

I've lusted after the Cyber-Twin SE for quite some time, but I suspect I'll never have one. I cannot justify the gear I have now, let alone the expense of the C-T in support of my meager talent. I have the old Cyber-Champ which gives me just a small taste of what the SE can do.

Hans - I really liked your tune !! Keep the Blues alive !!

A truly beautiful piece of music! Nice job! :)
It made me check out your other songs you have on the site. (also good)

A question: What settings do you use on your amp Cyber Twin SE?

You have a great sound there. Very good "Blues" work!

Please keep playing.

Hi,

The Epi has all controls wide open. Neck pickup (exept for one part that uses the Bridge pickup)

for the 2nd part I use the CT settings below:

Reverb - Blackface
Reverb input -7.4
Reverb tone - 9.5
Reverb time 7.7
Reverb diffusion - 7.0
Timbre - full body
line/spkr phase - standard polarity
Compressor - off
Noisgate depth 5.0
Noisegate thresh - medium

Pedal / controller settings - n/a

Effects - sine chorus
Chorus out level 2.9
Chorus rate 1.60
Chorus depth 3.8
Chorus avg delay - 2.9
SineChorus phase - 2.9

Trim - 7.1
Gain - 3.1
Volume - 4.2
Treble - 5
Middle - 7.5
Bass - 6.2
Presence - 7.4
Reverb - 2.9
Master - 2.1 but with the SPDIF to soundcard connection - n/a for recording

Hope this will help.

I'll double check when I'm Back home from work.
If you like me to I will post the settings for the first part to.

Thanks again !

Thanks for sharing the settings! I haven't tried that particular combination before. I will try them a little later today (I hope) with my Strat and see what happens. I know - not the Epi humbuckers - but hoping some EQ adjustments will get me close.

Any other settings you are willing to share would be appreciated - at least by me.

There is also a Cyber Twin users thread on the board that some people are posting settings on there too. (just in case you might want to keep yours with the others - or to check theirs out)

Sure,

I don't mind sharing my settings, in fact I would be pleased if someone finds them useful.

As a matter of fact, I have some CT settings that could fit your needs, since they are for my '83 Goldstar strat (oops) Lets hope I don't get banned for this one.

I think the best time for a full and useful share would be the release of Johny Strats Cybertwin SE PC editor.

If I'm not mistaking The CT SE Editor is very near to hit the Internet.......

quote:
Just had a long review with the two software slingers who are are working on it. Realistic, tested website (there has to be a fair amount of security) is Sept 6th (sorry about the previous posting of 29th, that was before the team realized how involved a security shake-down is). This date has been agreed to by all.

To all, many apologies for the schedule slips and many thanks for continued interest and support.

Meanwhile I just recorded a track today, using my CT SE, Epiphone Dot and a Kampo tube pedal 901.

If anyone is interested in the settings, just shout..

WOW!!

Your new "The only promise of live" sounds great!

I was thinking as it was playing; That music sounds about like I feel right now.

Thanks Hans. :) (2 Thumbs up)

Oh ... and since you're corresponding with the guy that's making the CT SE editor, would you please let us know when it is available?
