Hi All, I have recently replaced the 3 12AX7's with AY7's in my 2003 B J, to give higher volume cleaner tone, could this cause a future problem, any advice would be appreciated, Keith

You replaced three 12AX7s which have a gain factor of 100 with three 12AY7s which have a gain factor of 45. All you have done is create a low powered, low gain amp which you will have to crank to a significantly higher level on the volume control to get decent sound out of it. One of the tubes you replaced was the phase inverter which requires a balanced tube. Is one of the 12AY7s balanced for use as a phase invertor? If you want a cleaner tone with decent volume, just replace the first 12AX7 with a 12AY7 and leave the other two 12AX7s in place.

Yep what Bluesky said.

Only a 5751 in v-1 sounds nice in a Blues jr. !!!

I agree. A 5751 is a must in V-1. The others left 12AX7's.

I've used both a 12AY7 and 5751 in V1 of my BDRI. I find the 12AY7 to be a little bit warmer than a 5751 and not that much quieter even though the gain is lower. Currently I have a 12AY7 in V1 of both my BDRI and 5F6A clone with the rest being 12AX7s. Great tone. :D

+1, Gotta love the 5751. NOS JAN Phillips 5751 are pretty inexpensive and plentiful.
