Hi,

I just purchased a Fender Bassman Pro 300 used. I'm trying to figure out what year it was manufactured in. I've seen the page on the fender site about checking the QA sticker... I don't see a QA sticker anywhere on this amp.

The serial number is CR - 296195. Anyone know how I can find out it's production year?

thanks!

Angel...It would have been manufactured approximately Nov/December 2010 or Jan 2011, these amps just came out recently. It woud help if you posted pics...just to make sure we are talking about the same amp.

Thanks for the assist Bill. See how helpful it is when they post pics and give us the rest of the Story! Being bought used in 2007 would have narrowed down which Bassman 300! Sorry I wasn't able to read his mind!

I think that date is a typo. This link was embedded in the ad. Check the very last line in the spec sheet.

Check for EIA codes stamped on the trannies. Slide the chassis out, or use a small mirror to see the tops of the trannies to see if there are part number, manufacturer, and/or EIA codes. If so, the codes will give the approx date of manufacture.
