The selector shall correspond to the speaker impedance ! 8) 8) 8) 8)

Clem, you're quite right about the manual, also the schematic is not very helpful. First of all you won't hurt anything at 8ohms. I'll run down what, I would do. First unplug the amp and let it sit awhile !!! 1) remove the rear panels so you have a clear view of the speakers and their wiring. 2) determine if the two speakers are wired together into one set of wires going to one plug, on up to the main speaker jack on the rear of the amp. 3) if this is the case, you'll notice the wires to the plug are color coded, ie black & white. 4) now looking at each speaker's terminal, on the speaker frame, you should find a + and - sign( or possibly a red and black ink dot). 5) from these terminals, will also be color coded wires leading to a junction or the main plug. 6) if both speakers and their associated wiring are the same, and joined together to reflect this color coded continuity, then they are wired in parallel. 7) this configuration would reflect a 4ohm load. 8) if the color code for each speaker is the opposite, then they are wired in series. 9) this configuration would reflect a 16ohm load. You're done ! set the impedance selector accordingly. Art

The OP's question was posted twice and answered already. He has yet to respond. I hate when people do that. Very rude to the members of this forum.
