Here's a great way to replace OEM caps and resistors on new amps with circuit boards & tracings. You need to leave a good portion of the original component's lead in order to add the "quig" (came with NOS Sprague & Mallory caps) or DIY pigtails. But, you avoid pulling the lead out of the circuit board and ruining the tracings or circuit board... or both.

Interesting.

I have been toying with replacing the stock tone caps in my BDRI with Orange Drops and Silver Micas. The nice thing with the Reissues is that the PCB is through plated, meaning that the component mounting holes have copper on both sides of the board and inside the hole. You can heat the old part up, pull it out, touch the lead of the new part on thr solder filled hole, heat it up, and the lead slides right in.
