Has anyone came near this tone with thier 59 reissue LTD or otherwise?

From this YT clip, it seems that the RI doesn't have the rich harmonics and chime of your YT of the 1960 Bassman. Could be the guitar, pups, or player. Guess you should find a store with both a vintage Bassman & the RI Bassman and bring your guitar. Do a test drive for yourself.

How difficult was the build, bill?
I know you went through a couple
hiccups, if not for the mods would it
have been fairly uneventful ?
I thought it sounded great in your video.

Given the fact that the kit came without instructions, just a schematic and wiring diagram, it was pretty straight forward with regard to fitting things together. But as I noted in my thread, my having a degree in electrical engineering was a big help. Someone without a degree or previous experience with tube amps might have more problems.
