I posted this on a different forum and got no replies. I figure if I need to ask this, then this is the place to get the answer....

I've played a 12 string for years with church groups and have been playing and Ovation 12 w/ a Fender Acousticsonic 30 for a while. Wanting to do more, especially with all the great stuff out there in Christian Rock, I'm getting a Fat Strat in a few days and was wondering if I'm going to run into any issues plugging it into the Acoustisonic for now. Obvioulsy, I'll just be playing at home for a while anyway.

Thanks,
Dave

I've posted on this topic in the past:

It works out fine as long as you don't have crazy expectations of what it might sound like. The tone is nice and clean but also kind of sterile compared to what a Strat sounds like through a good tube amp. I think anyone who spends any amount of time talking about guitars, internet or otherwise, has heard the "nothing sounds as good as a tube amp" comment a million times. Mostly because it's true. :)

It's definitely good enough for practicing.

Excellent. So, I'll be good with the Acoustisonic for a while then.

Thanks,
Dave
