I purchased a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 2 and a half years ago and had not had any problems untill the last couple weeks. Randomly the amp would cut out and became extremely quiet. I had not changed the tubes in 2.5 years and assumed this was the problem so I replaced the two big power tubes and everything was working perfectly for 5 days. Last night I was on stage and it happened again and I had to finish the show with a friend's amp who had played before us.

Could the issue be that the smaller tubes need to be replaced too?

Really wanting to solve this problem, I know pretty much nothing about amps I just enjoy playing. My only knowledge is that problems with tube amps are normally the tubes?

Check all soldering joints, if you have not enough skills, contact a technician. Take care about lethal voltages !
BTW, your amp is still under warranty, then contact 7ender dealer.

Take the amp to a good Fender amp tech; post your location and people can give recos. Do not try to diagnose further or check soldering joints, etc.

You can't just replace the tubes on Fenders - you need to bias them correctly and that's what a tech can do as well as diagnosing the problems that are causing the tubes to fail.

Buy one of these - it's always in my guitar case just in case - and yes, it will drive a 2x12 cabinet and work in a pinch.
