Yep, the tweed reissue amps seem to have been discontinued in favor of the EC line. It might just be me, but they were somewhat overpriced. For the same price of the '57 Champ it's possible to buy a vintage one, or even something made by Victoria, etc.

All in all I'm glad I purchased my CS 57 Twin Tweed when I did. I got it at a good price and it's a great sounding amp. Looks as though they have been replaced by the EC line.

Having played an EC Champ in our studio a month ago, it is that good. I would surmise that the other higher-wattage amps are on the same level.

Nedorama, is that the EC VC Champ RI? How do you control the Intensity of the Vibrato? Seems there is no control for that, like the BF & SF VC's had.

Thanks!

You don't.

3 controls - wattage, speed and volume. Didn't find myself wanting an intensity knob, but I usually set and forget mine anyway.

In playing through it through my strat and another's White Falcon, it wasn't mixed. Nice level of chewiness.

To each his own, I guess.
I kinda wish they'd just left the '57 Champ, Deluxe and Twins alone.
Sure the price may have been up there, but adding EC to the fray is
kinda.... ahem..., gimmicky.. (Don't get me wrong, EC is a great guitar
player, I'm just not that into signature stuff. - fine if your collector, but I like
to play with a real good product - not saying anthing wrong with this new EC line - just to each his own)
Of course, there is IS some added feature with that vibrato Fender felt the market wanted. And the price doesnt' appear to have jumped that much over
the discontinued '57 line.
