So, There's an R106 ( 2 meg resistor) where the schematic says a 1n4448 diode should be.
There is NO R106 on the schematic.

No ser no# on this amp . Only a 2002 Date on the PC board.

Anyone else seen this?

Thanks

The boards been revised. Probably a couple of times. You may be looking at a newer schematic. Is something wrong with the amp?

Hi petraman7,

If the circuit board is labeled "R106", I doubt that a diode should go there. On the schematic that I have, Rev B from '96 (maybe the same that you have), R105 is the last instance used, but there have been revisions made to the amp and circuit board since then, but the schematics haven't been updated/released on the site. You might just need the correct schematic. Same with the BJr and many other amps, there are different circuit revisions depending on when the amp was made.

Maybe contact Fender to see if you can get a schematic for 2002 made circuit boards, ask about R106.

There are some new schematics up on the site, including the HRDlx III. Looks like the R106 resistor has indeed replaced the CR16 diode. Apparently this change was made sometime before the version III if you have a 2002 board. You can see R106 in the C4 area of the new schematic in the "More Drive" circuit.
