Hi all, I became curious after poking around the inside of my TRRI, when it was made. It's a long story what I was doing in there so I'll spare you the details. Anyhow...

After searching for how to date Fender amps, it said there'd be a silver and black QA sticker with two letters. Well, mine just has one big "W" on it... Any suggestions? it has the green frame Fender Special Design Jensen c12K's, blue labeled groove tubes. The serial number starts w/ AC0442XX. Any help?

In the big scheme of things it's really no big deal but curiosity now has the better of me.

if it's any help, the speaker code is 2200420....just found some info on the Jensen page. The speakers date then to the 20th week of 2004.

Is it a safe bet to guesstimate then that this was probably made in 2004/2005?

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Thanks for the link... unless I get back in there and look at the transformer code, or could figure it out based on the serial #, there's no narrowing it down... as I stated, the QA sticker that is supposed to have a manufacturing date code just has a big "W" on it so that doesn't tell me jack (other than whoever "W" is, wasn't doing his job very well...hmm, that reminds me of another "W")

Based on the speaker code and when I think I bought the amp, it's a 2004... I think I picked it up in Jan of 2005 but perhaps it was Jan. of 2006. In the big scheme of things I just got to wondering because I've never replaced any tubes in it, and it has been doing a little pop pop thing when I fire it up sometimes. It goes away quickly (within 30 sec or so...) Admittedly, I'm not very good about letting it warm up on stand-by before powering up or down.

That's it in a nutshell...
