I have an old Fender Acoustasonic Pro..It is a 2 channel 160 watt (2x80).My question is: Does each channel have a seperate 80 watts to give?If guitar is plugged into the 1st channel, does the channel only push 80 watts?I want to use all 160 of my watts. Can I plug my guitar into both channels or would this be pointless? I would like some clearification on how channels on amplifiers work. :)

Hi tylerlee1554,

I think that you are on top of it, sounds like you know the amp. You can verify if only one or both speakers are working by listening, or carefully feeling the speakers vibrate. Nothing wrong with using both inputs for guitar to get the full power out, maybe even use an AB switch to select one or both channels.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
