Here's what you do. Buy a genuine Fender red jewel light. With a sanding or grinding unit of some kind, grind off the threading perfectly flat. (I stuff a small bit of cloth or paper towel up into the inside top of the jewel to protect the glass from the metal filings.) Use glasses and you may need some pliers to hold the jewel against the grinder because of the heat. Apply a thin line of clear silicon glue carefully to the bottom edges of the jewel and also a small bit up into the inside as well. The silicon glue adheres to the chrome plate but will come off later without damaging the chrome if needed. Carefully position the jewel light over top on the existing red LED light and allow to dry. Mine has been in place for several years now without coming off. BTW...you must use red or clear. Other colors do not work very well. I am very happy with this simple mod and so are other BJ users I have given a modified jewel. It takes less than 15 minutes.
