Hello!

This is my first post in this forum and I have a question about the '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue amp. (22 watts into 8 ohms)

I usually live in Sweden (Europe) but I'm staying in the U.S. for one year and I found the '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue here for a much better price than in Sweden. So now to the question.

Do you think it will work if I use the amplifier with 120V, 50Hz instead of 120V, 60Hz as it says on the American model?

Would this affect or destroy the amplifier? What would happend? Would it work with a transformator?

When I look at information about this amp I see this.
(120V, 60Hz) USA
(230V, 50Hz) EUR

Link to the amp

Or maybe someone knows if it's possible to find european amps here in California?

I am a player not a tech and I don't really know much about this . Really need your help, thank you!

Hello again. I got the answer I needed from another forum (guitargeek.com) and I though if anyone else had questions about what I had this may help you...

Here is the answer I got:

If your only concern is running it on 50 hz, it will not make a difference. A transformer will not change the line frequency. The amp won't care if it is 50 or 60 hz. If the power transformer does not have a 230v tap and you are running it on 230v, you will have to use a step down transformer. Another option is to simply buy a power transformer for an export model and install it. But there won't be any difference between using it on on a 50 or 60 cycle grid IMO.
