Hi,

Does anyone know what the output impedence and signal level voltage values are for the FX Loop Send of the Super-sonic 22?

Note: the 60-watt Super-sonic has adjustable signal level controls for the FX loop send and return but the 22's are fixed. I need to find out the values for the 22 specifically.

Thanks in advance,
Zak

It's not mentioned in the online specs or the product manual.

It's probably safe to assume that the send has a low impedance and the return has a high impedance. It looks that way on the schematic. Disclaimer - my knowledge of amp design is not strong so I'm very willing to be corrected.

Looks like the return goes through a 10K resistor then into a buffer. The output of the buffer goes straight to the power amp (actually that might be the phase inverter). Looks like there is no way to control saturation internally.

I'm looking at the SS 22 and wouldn't consider the effects loop, as is, a deal breaker but to each his on. Tested one today at a local Guitar Center and liked it. The "vintage" channel with the "fat" button (gotta love marketing) was nice. The burn channel wasn't bad; it's fun to be able dial in pre-amp distortion.

Cheers,
