Found this on Sam Ash Direct | Musical Instruments, Guitars, Amplifiers, Drums, Pro Audio | Lowest Prices, Fast Shipping today. It looks like a replacement for the Super Champ XD but with a number of features from the Mustang line.

Yea, here it is. The new Super Champ x2. I question whether the computer connectivity is worth all the extra $$. I'm not too impressed. We'll have to see. It says it has a preamp tube!!

I like that it comes as a head now too (based on the pics).

It says it has two 6V6 power tubes too. I think they found a way to drive the price up on the SC XD.

"It says it has a preamp tube!!"

"It says it has two 6V6 power tubes too."

The SCXD had a 12AX7 as the phase inverter driving two 6V6's, so they haven't changed the output section of the amp. The preamp is still solid state. They've just upgraded the digital modeling parts of the preamp.

I would be most interested to know if the USB / Fuse feature allows you to change voices live.
That's the only thing I wish I had on my SCXD - a footswitch that would allow me to change voice on the voice channel while playing.
Does Fuse supported MIDI in? Would a standard MIDI footswitch coming into the computer be able to change voices?

If the X2 has the same output circuit as previous versions, there is half of the 12AX7 tube in the preamp and the other half is used as the PI.

Isn't this the same concept used in the Music Man amps?
