Is there anything besides the foot pedal thats included or manually pressing the button on the amp that can active the distortion on the fender frontman 212r?

Hi Quincyo7,

OK, quick response is; why do you need a quick response?

The included foot switch will work with the FM212R and many other Fender amps. So any similar two-button foot switch will work for the FM212R to change channels from clean to drive and to select "drive/more drive". You can make your own foot switch, or find some custom made one. You can get your distortion from effects pedals, but they won't change channels on the amp, or select the drive/more drive either. But you do have to connect some kind of switch to the amp or push the buttons on the amp for the distortion selection of the amp.

What other way to activate the distortion did you have in mind? Telepathically?

Ok, is there a similar pedal that activates the distortion and that has both an input and output (unlike fm212r pedal) so i can connect it to my other effects?

No. The control for the Drive channels, whether using a Fender pedal or something else, is just a switch. There is nothing to interface with any other pedal, nor is there a reason to.

Is that quick enough for you? Can you sleep now?
