Hello, this is my Fender Super 210, in immaculate condition. I have also tried the Super 112 (1x12").

I really like these amps. I have just one issue with them. There is no Master Volume.
I don't want to modify it, but is there a simple way of creating an external control, maybe something as basic as - line out-volume pot-line in?
The amp doesn't see much action but if i can do this for a few dollars, it would be great.

Thanks ....Mark.

Yes there are a mod with a potentiometer plug between line out and line in. I don't know where you can find this schematic.

OK, it seems that what I need is an Attenuator. They can cost up to $300.
I just thought there may be a cheaper way. Hmm Fender's cost cutting in the late eighties eh?

Thanks .......Mark.

I have the super112. There is a guy on ebay selling exactly what you are looking for. Plugs into the effects loop. Cost around 20 dollars. I have one works great.

Thanks Minnesotastrats, I'm in Australia, we don't get everything from ebayusa. Cold you possibly post a link to that gizmo? or tell me what they call it ? 20 bucks sounds good.
What do you think of the Super 112? They also did a Super 60 head with matching 4 speaker cabinet, although I've never seen one.
Thanks again
....Mark.

I don't have a link, but I just did this, I went to ebay (usa) and typed in " Volume Box Guitar Amp Attenuator For Fender Amplifier." (He makes these for several brands of amps.) Took me right to the box $19.95 for plastic box and if you check his store he has/had metal box for $25.00usd plus $10.00 shipping to the land down under. Love the super112 but to loud for home hence the box. I also recently found a nos super60 combo amp in mint condition. Same as the 112 or 210 but slightly smaller cab. the 112 sounds better with the larger cab. hope this helps.

OK Thanks mate. I found him - Omnisonic. It looks good with the chickenhead knob 8)

Those Super60 combos are a bit earlier I think. They call them the "Evil Twin" don't they?

Thanks ....Mark.

The 112 is a 1991 model and the super60 is a '92 although the 60 was introduced first. btw my super 112 has original black knobs and the 60 has red. The evil twin is a different amp based on th old Twin and is 100w I believe (maybe 85 not sure).

Mark there are many recipies to have the sound you want ; master volume mod on the back of the amp is one, a single potentiometer between line in /line out is another, an attenuator is another. Or just our an overdrive effect plug in your amp.

These gadget give NOT the same result. A real attenuator is " expensive " but is ( the best ) very popular because you can crank the amp at bedroom volume and have the overdrive tone of the tubes.
You can use also the same attenuator on many amps if you have one with many impedance selector like the Weber Attenuator.

Thanks Stratele52 This is the one i found on ebay

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Tube-Amp-VOL ... 1e69a0aa38

I just want to keep the volume equal on both channels and to be able to play quietly with the amp cranked. This gizmo seems to fit the bill. For $20, I'll take my chances.

Thanks all
Goodonya .....Mark.

PS, I just noticed, these go up to 11. hehehee

I use one of these (different make) devices in the loop of my BDRI. I does what it claims...provides more pre-amp distortion at lower volume. Don't expect power tube distortion since the signal is reduced to the power amp by the pot.

I like what it does.

Hey, for $20 it's no big gamble! :)
