Fantastic build Bill!!

Love the final touches you gave the amp.
And Yes, the smudge will add Mojo.

Hoping you have many years of enjoyment with it!

+1

That's how Retroverbial Productions, Inc does it.

RAWK......ON!

I'm actually hoping that this might be something I can do to keep me busy and earn a few bucks when I (hopefully) retire in another 7 years. I've been buying amp design books and trying to relearn all that I have forgotten about tubes since college. Who knows. :D

Excellent build.

Would you agree that circuit design is a walk in the park compared to actually building something and making it work?

Cheers,
:)

I've been studying this since before I built the amp.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/097698 ... 02_s01_i00

What appears to be a fairly simple design is actually quite complex when you look at the math behind it. Hard to believe that Leo and friends used only a slide rule and sheets of paper to come up with this stuff.

Wow! Had no idea they had detailed books on the design.

Lots of math? Never was good with Calculus...

Don't make fun of slide-rules. I still have the 3 I used back in the day!

I LOVED math in college. This book brought back lots of fond memories of stuff I studied that I never thought had any practical application.

Where in the world have I been this is the first Ive read on this. Im very impressed you did one hell of a job. Your playing sounded good also nice and clean. I just bought the same speakers for my Super while I get my CTS's reconed. I love 59 Bassman's such a great amp. They keep you honest.

Thanks. It took about two months of weekends to build it. I really want to build something else, but I'm not sure what. Weber has some very nice kits.

Bill...my vote is for you doing a 5E3 Deluxe type...would be a bit different from your Bassman sonically, but still provide you a nice variation on a theme...electronically speaking.

That is one of my choices. I do like the sound of Tweed. :D

Actually, I have one of the Boss FRV-1 63 Fender Reverb pedals and it is quite good. Not as good as the real thing, but very convincing.

I've often been tempted to get me one of those!
