I have a Twin Reverb Reissue Amp (1991 date on circuit board, sn: AC10588) that works fine on the vibrato section and gets no sound from the normal inputs. The tubes all tested good on a tube tester. I swapped the tubes around anyway just to eliminate the chance of a tube issue. C29 on the circuit board has no component present. Is it perhaps missing a cap? Any thoughts as to what might be wrong? Failed Pots, caps or should I look someplace else for the problem.

Thanks

I would inspect the chassis for a cold or fractured solder joint somewhere around or in between V1 and/or V6.

C29 is not used in this amp -- it was an extra tone cap added to the Custom Vibrosonic (now discontinued) that featured special voicing on one channel to favor steel guitar players. This amp shared most of its architecture with the TRRI.

+1 Retroverbial

I would look closely at the first ribbon cable, the one closest to the normal inputs, especially the solder connections, but also the cable and connector itself.

The schematic, if it's any help.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

Absolutely!

I've never quite trusted those things.
