I've searched and searched but I cannot find the model this Fender amp is.. or any other information about it.

It was passed down to me by my father in 2005 after his death.

It is a Fender Twin Amp. The serial number is CR-296709, Type: PR 449. It has 2 twelve inch speakers made by Eminence Speaker Corp. I believe it is 100w. It says it was made in Corona CA USA.

The tubes in it are GROOVE TUBES 1 GT6L6B, 3 GT6L6 SV.

I desperately need information so that I may price this amp for Christmas and utilities money for this month.

Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance..

This Fender Twin was part of the "pro tube" series amps that were introduced circa 1993. They were sometimes known as the "Evil Twin" just as the previous red-knob versions from the '80s. Its current value on the secondary market varies between $650 and $875.

It's this one. There is even a selling price you can go by:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ ... guitar-amp

If it was me and my father gave me something like that when he died, I would keep it and find another way to pay the bills.

Not in this lifetime!

This one won't sell at nine-hundred bucks......either.

For some reason, the Martin means more to me..

I didn't think '78 D18's were all that great? Weird.

They appear to be two different versions of the amp.

Was it your father's #1?

Compare the prices for a 60's Martin to those of a 70's Martin. I think Martin had many of the same problems in the 70's that many other makers had.

It was his #1 acoustic. When he passed I gave it to my grandfather, who later gave it back to me, so its double sentimental. I simply will not sell the Martin ever. I don't play in a band, so I don't really care about the amp or the strat that much. But I do jam accoustic quiet a bit with my family / friends. Anyways, thats the reasoning..

This amp was sold by American Music Supply about 4+ years ago. Its list price was around $2,249.99 and was selling for what I remember about $1400. I bought this amp back then but can't find the receipt to confirm the price. Here's the original part number to the manual if that helps P/N 057023 REV A
It's impossible to find this on the fender site, a while back they had a category of models that were discontinued, but I can't find that either. A load of searching with no satisfaction.
I've been using this amp for a while now moving it back and forth to gigs rehearsal and it has been more that reliable.

The one @ the ebay link is a few years older. It doesn't have Tremelo and has 3-button footswitch as opposed to the 4-button switch that was your father's. The latter was made up to 2010 as top of the Fender "Pro-tube Amps". I have picked up a used one (Twin Amp) recently and am trying to find the exact year.
