Everyone here probably knows this, but it is so cool, I thought I'd pass it on - I found it at the Telecaster Forum. The reverb on my DRRI was feeding back when it was set on anything higher than 4 or 5 - I loosened the screws holding the reverb unit to the bottom of the amp and the feedback was gone! 20 seconds with a screwdriver - amazing!

The screws holding the reverb tank are not supposed to be tight to begin with. Good job finding the fix. :)

Correct. The fasteners should be just snug enough to hold the bag securely in place. The cardboard affixed to the bottom of the tank provides isolation from cab resonances and vibrations.

Rawk on!

Retroverbial write about the pocket in DDRI , It have a pocket ? I never see a reverb tank installation on a DDRI . I never work on DDRI.

If you look on Blackface and silverface amps, their reverb tank are on a "pocket". This pocket is screw on the bottom of the amp. The reverb tank is not thight fit on the pocket and is by the way insulate from feedback. The screw holding the pocket can be tight with no feedback problem.

You can easely make a pocket for your reverb tank. It is only vinyl covering, like tolex. You can buy some too at Tumesandmore.com

I doo this mod for a Mesa Boogie head wich have this feedback problem.

WTF?

This is a reverb tank for a DRRI......

Image

It's already in a bag, right from the factory.

Unless FMIC has further "improved" the amp's design by eliminating this detail.

It's a common phrase, Stratele.

You're looking for an issue where none exists.
