I just thought I'd share what I consider to pretty funny:

A couple of weeks ago, I played a show at a medium-sized venue (it was a local performing arts building that caters to large choirs, orchestras, etc.) and the sound tech had my amp hooked up to a Shure SM57, which then went through the PA. At this point, my Super Sonic 112 Combo had its volume set right at 1.

After a few minutes, the guy came back down from the booth and said, "Hey, you're running a little loud there, do ya mind turnin' down?" I kinda smirked and turned my volume knob down ever-so slightly. At this point I'm puzzled because the amp is hardly loud enough with me right next to it, but apparently is more than loud enough through the house speakers.

Again, the guy comes down after a few minutes and says, "Seriously, you need to turn down! Do you have that thing at 11 or something??!"

I just smile and go, "No--I've got it at 1 :D "

He then proceeded to give me the most dumbfounded look I've ever seen and the words, "Uhh, maybe I'll go turn my boards down..." just sorta muttered out of his mouth.

Now I understand that this could just be one of those you-had-to-be-there kind of things, but I still think it is a testament to how loud this amp really gets--rock on!

Zackly! He must not know where the channel gain was, let alone the fader LOL

I have a Super Sonic 112 60 watt and I just received the Super Sonic Twin last Thursday AND today I just got my Sennheiser e906! SO I am retiring the 57.

I have been jamming recording mine tonight. The e906 is a great mic :) in my view, AND of course the SS series has my respect, THank you Fender for making them.
