Tech emailed me that the trace on the PCB got taken out in the blast. He re-built it and all is well. He found that both of the guide pins were off on the output tubes-one was lodge in the connector. I assume that the previous owner must have jammed a tube(s) in cockeyed causing a short. I should have it back Fri or Mon waiting on the CR5 Diodes to come from Fender.

I also had him troubleshoot a low volume issue with a Silvertone 1481 that I salvaged. Should be in tube tone heaven soon.

Thanks.

JB

Wouldn't that be your son?

Glad that you will have it fixed though. :)

The 1481" were great amps. Very easily serviceable too. You don't get any more low down than the old Silvertone, Valco/Supro and Dano amps. It's just me, but I'd put that HRDlx up for adoption. Maybe look at a III series if you're so inclined. The whole damaged trace thing leaves me cold. Repaired traces are only as good as the tech doing the repair.
