Are the send/return wires still plugged firmly into the tank?

Well um yeah.

My reverb stopped working. It is really frustrating because that was like the main part why i did even buy the amp.

Can i fix it or do i have to drag it 40 miles to my store?

Im kinda handy with electronics and stuff.

Take care,
Mac

Here's the schematic. Have fun.

You can try the standard troubleshooting procedures using the schematic that Bill has provided but be advised, FMIC considers these amps to be "non-repairable". If a new FM fails during the term of the warranty, the customer is given a new unit and the defective one goes into a landfill. It's possible that your problem is a simple one -- perhaps the cables to the reverb tank have loosened or developed an "open" at the input or output. Beyond that, it will become a challenge to diagnose and repair since replacement parts for these models are generally unavailable.

Kinda sad that Fender can't repair a solid state amp. If it is out of warranty, I'm sure there is someone out there that could. May a college student goign for an EE degree? Granted, I wouldn;t touch it. Maybe the ICs are unique to Fender, but many op amps are quite common. Are discrete transistors no longer available?

Fender does repair solid-state amps under warranty such as those in the higher-cost Dyna-Touch line and the premium Cyber models. But there is no logistics trail in place to provide spares for the entry-level Squier, FM, and VM amps built offshore.

Interesting. I know my Champ 600 isn't repairable under warranty, but it only has like 5 parts to go bad.

The "KISS" principle has served mankind well ever since we shed our caudal appendages and evolved from the primordial ooze.

don't know about your amp, but the reverb in my stage 100 stopped working, and i decided to take the reverb tank out to see if there were issues. it was in the bottom of the amp, so it was easy.

there were some broken wires inside. i re-soldered, and it works great.

you can also find replacement tanks out there from suppliers and ebay too

good luck!
