I have the 40 watt Hot Rod Deluxe III which I picked over the Blues Deluxe. It just seemed to have a bit more "range". I found I could get it to duplicate modern tones and Blues-y and twang-y tones quite easily unlike the BD. Not that the BD was a bad amp. Just not as versatile.
