I found a Twin Reverb at a great price. I know they are super clean. I typically play with a little light distortion/grit. I'll really crank it on occasion. I play mostly blues. I'm curious how well the amp takes pedals and opinions on some good ones.

You'll find very little "grit" or distortion with a Twin Reverb, even when dimed. Pedals are mandatory. I use a Zoom amp simulator with mine, along with a Fulltone OCD.

The twin takes pedals really well! For blues, its awesome! use some overdrive on it. Sounds great! It can even do metal if thats what you want (though most say it cannot) i use a Goosoniqueworx Seventheaven and it sounds like a mesa rectifier. This amp is pure clean. and LOUD! I think the fulltone ocd would sound AWESOME through this amp! i use a digitech bad monkey through it too! sounds sweet! inexpensive way to sound awesome! :D good luck. and either way, i hope you find what youre looking for! :P

Twins take pedals superbly well, in fact a fair amount of pedals seem to almost designed to work their best with that big, sparkly Fender tone. I know my OCD works probably twice as well in front of a Twin than with almost anything else.

Twin + Strat + decent pedal collection = Bliss. Well, bliss and becoming on first name terms with your local chiropractor after a few gigs.
