I have found a Deluxe Reverb Re-Issue for Sale the add says

Fender Deluxe Reverb re-issue - MINT - $475
Purchased this amp as a backup at Guitar Center in February... used less than a dozen times...
$475 obo
includes footswitch
delivery can be worked out.

There is no name or phone number just an e-mail address which I responded to with a question and received no reply. Does this sound a little suspisious or is it a great deal?

It's worth e-mailing over but I certainly wouldn't hold my breath.

If you receive no response after a couple of messages, move on -- it's just some retard jerkin' yer gherkin.

If legit, it's likely that the ad received plenty of responses, and probably sold right away at that price. :(

+1

Probably sold fifteen minutes after the listing was posted.

I e-mailed the seller again but did not receive a reply so I will keep looking for a good deal. If this deal was legit I really wanted it. But why would someone want to sell a 7 month old amp in mint condition for $475 or best offer when most people are asking $600 to $700 for the same amp in worse condition?

Possibly because it's either fried or stolen.

63 - I too was thinking it might be stolen. The ad was on Craigslist in Brooklyn NY. I have been unable to find a DRRI on Craigslist in connecticut so I opened my search to include other areas nearby. Purchasing from Craigslist or Ebay seems so risky for bying something like an amp. I'm thinking the best thing might be to wait for it to go on sale again at GC. I have seen it for as low as $830. If it gets that low again around Christmas time I'm bying it.

The same thing happend to me last nite. I will usually go to craigslist and look for fender stuff for sale. And, last nite, i found a stratocaster that i figgure to be a 70's reissue (big headstock..big emblem on head and 3 bolt neck) beautiful red color. along with a pretty nice marshall combo amp (dont know the model he did not post it) but its not a very small one like the 15 Also, a bunch of pedals tweed hardshell case for the guitar. and, cords and some misc stuff all for $450...Now, i know somethings very wrong with this ad but for hell of it i shot him an e-mail. I am waiting for him to respond still.
