With all other things being equal. Would a 25W jensen p8r be louder than the 15 Weber Sig 8?
Is the Jensen brighter than the Weber?

Power-handling capability has no direct correlation to loudspeaker efficiency.

thanks Arjay,
The jensen is currently in my 518 but I got the weber on the way hoping that it won't be as bright, I got the one with the straight cone that is used in the Fender reiusse 57, which is the sound I'm trying to get.

Most vintage tweed Fenders used a ribbed-cone Jensen alnico.

I know, but the reissues sound is what I'm after. Stock the Victoria is just brighter to me than the RI, and kinda harsh.

Jensen website is very informative listing the frequency response of their speakers but no info on the Weber site :(

We all perceive tone differently. The most important thing is to give any speaker time to break in. I have Celestion Elite 80's for my Egnater. I liked them at first but after they broke in I'm floored by them. Give them time.

Is the Jensen brighter than the Weber?

The only Jensen Reissue speaker I've used came in the '57 Deluxe Reissue when I bought it,being a Weber user I immediately ordered one and while waiting for it to come in played around with the Deluxe,I thought the Jensen was getting better and it was,but when I installed the Weber it was so much richer in tone...and yes,to my ears the Jensen is brighter and has a more raw tone than the Weber.
but as mentioned...YMMV. :D
