My son's Hot Rod DeVille has more reverb than my Blues Deluxe. In fact when his reverb is set to 3,it has way more reverb than when the reverb on my Deluxe is set at 12! His amp is about two years old, and I just bought my Deluxe last summer. Is there any thing that I can do to increase the reverb on my Deluxe. I enjoy playing surf music, but it's a bit disheartening when I hear how much reverb he gets compared to mine! Oh, and the amps are side by side in the same room, and I've played through both amps. Any thoughts on how to increase the reverb in my Deluxe would be appreciated!

I'm not a guitar or amp tech but sounds like something is up with your deluxe. I have a deville 410 and it has crazy reverb and I love that but your amp should keep up. You might have it checked out by a local shop or something.

My son's 410 Deville has tons of reverb, and I'm envious! I just found out from someone at Surfguitar101.com that the Hot Rod series and the Blues RI series use exactly the same driver circuits, but different pans and recovery circuits. There are some mods that can be done to increase the reverb on my Blues Deluxe... I'm just not sure I'm up to the challange! Someone with a little more electornics expierence would probably have no problems. So I might give it a try and see if I can do it myself.

Compared to my Twin and Vibrolux Reverb, my Hot Rod Deluxe has way more reverb. I really don't like it. When I use it, I only have it on 1 or 2 max. It's also a very different sounding and I guess for lack of a better description, much harsher sounding reverb on the Hot Rod. That's just me though.

The reverb on my Blues Deluxe is very weak compared to my son's 410 Deville. I was wanting to play some surf music, but the reverb on my Deluxe just doesn't cut it! I may need to look into a seperate tank unit.

When I can save up the cash for it I'd like to get the '63 Fender Reverb unit. Until then I'd really like to see if I can make some mods to the Deluxe. I'm reading a thread now on how to do it.... but not really understanding it!
