yeahhhhh, it's breaking in nicely, and doe's nasty(Blues) real well too!
wish i'd gotten one years ago........
the "lightning bolt" speaker has been a very pleasant surprise too.....

I always try to break in new amps gradually(not really necessary, I know)and this one is sounding better and better!!

Yes indeed! Getting chubby just reading about it. BJr even causes chick-wood sometimes. How do I know this?

I've been waiting around trying to find a used BJ NOS with the different speaker in my city. My local Guitar Center doesn't have one so I haven't been able to compare the BJ and BJ NOS. Is it that big of a difference? If so, is it cost effective and easy enough for an average Joe to replace with a new speaker?

I know what you mean... Sit on them the right way and those vibrations will get a good rise out of you...

replacing the spkr was mentioned......

as I type this i'm waiting on a custom 2x12"(offset) tweed/oxblood 3/4" fingerjointed pine combo-cab that's custom cut for a Blues Junior chassis to arrive.
the extra spkr-hole will hold a 2-yr.old, played daily Jensen C12Q Vintage Ceramic series spkr.......it's broken-in smooth as butter, and will more than just compliment the slightly raw edge on the Lightning Bolt.
it may seem a bit of an exercise for a 15w amp, but I need portable tone(which i'm sure will be delivered) more than volume, and can always mic. if need be.

the co. that's building it ROCKS(!!)
