I recently picked up a used 212 at a GC in Nashville and it sounds great with my new DSL head. It really makes the cleans a crapton better. I'd like to know what I bought, haha, although I know it sounds good and will hold together.

It's a 212, looks somewhat old but definitely not before '85. The two speakers are towards the opposite corners like Fender tends to do, open back, black tolex (I think) and a black handle on the side, chrome hardware. It only has two 4 Ohm stereo inputs which is interesting. No casters.

I'll put up photos and more details later today. What do you guys think it could be? :?: :?:

It sounds like one of the cabinets that was optional with the Concert Amp head of the late '80s and early '90s. There was also a 4 x 10 enclosure available.

That helps a bit

Also, I took a look at it, and found some of the labeling.

CB 2-12
PB-211612
Serial Number 30114
Open back speaker cabinet with the backs of the speakers labeled 8 Ohms and I can't find anything else useful.

Here's a link to the pictures.

That looks like the 2 x 12 cab that mated to the old red-knob era Super 60 head from the mid '80s. The speakers are likely Eminence but Rola was also common at this time.

If you can get the speakers out and note any numbers stamped on the frames or affixed via a label, it'll make it easier to ID them as to brand, age, and (possibly) power-handling capability.

There's a faded sticker on each speaker with some numbers on it, I'll post them when I get home.
