Where do you get a replacement bulb? It's a Deluxe Reverb Re-Issue. How do you pull it out?

The bulb is a 6.3V incandescent, "type 47". Unscrew the red jewel, the gently push down and rotate the bulb a quarter turn until the lugs at the base disengage from the spring-loaded socket. Reverse the process to install the replacement bulb. You'll find them on Ebay, some GC's, and (rarely now) at Radio Shack.

Arjay,
Are the "jewels" themselves available easily?

Jewels of varying colors are readily available -- either at your local GC, various parts suppliers, and on Ebay. The repros use a chrome-plated bezel, the vintage types were nickel.

I keep some spare bulbs on hand as well -- bought as a 5- or 10-pack, they're pretty inexpensive.

+1, I got a five pack at Radio Shack just a couple years ago for less than $7. I put a blue jewel in my '68 Champ which goes pretty well with the turquiose lettering.

+1

The silverfaces always seem to favor a blue jewel.

my Blues DeluxeReissue just had same problem...unscrewed the bezel , pushed down on the bulb...but it is so low into the chassis that it was almost impossible to turn and get out.., finally with (unplugged amp) licked my fingers and got it to turn...had to tip amp to get it out...cleaned bottom of bulb by scratching with my finger nail...put back in and voila! all set...

Or it just might not be screwed in all the way.
