I went to the Birmingham Guitar Center Saturday to try out some amps. They had a poor selection of Fender Amps except for the Mustangs which they had a bazillion of.

While they did not have the regular Blues Junior (which I wanted to try), they did have the NOS version. I played it and liked it a lot. Unfortunately, they did not have a Princeton (not even a used one). They did have one Egnator Half Stack about two feet from the front door. I did not get a chance to try it out though:(

They did have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe too but I liked the Blues Junior better. Unless I give in to the GAS and order a Blues Junior soon, I will wait to go to Bailey Brothers next weekend and see if they have a Princeton and Egnator to try out.

I tried the amps out with an Epiphone Les Paul with coil splitting which was sounded nice but had a the terrible neck and a MIM Standard Fat Strat in wine red that came within a half a millimeter of coming home with me. Since coming home, I have gone on line 5 times, put the fat Strat in my cart to buy, but backed out before completing the purchase each time. I went to look at the amps and all I can think about now is, I need a fat Strat :(

65' Deluxe Reverb is probably going to be the most useful and versatile of the bunch. not to mention the best sounding. (I almost flipped when you listed it last, i thought you had missed it)
The thing is incredible, 22w gives you enough juice to crank at any pub or club gig as well as the studio and the breakup is the creamiest you'll ever hear and you can still play at bedroom volume very comfortably. The 12" Jensen does a good job once its broken in, but you can run an ext. cab if you want a tighter sound.
Ask anyone and they'll tell you just how good it is, however id play one to make sure it's right for you.
Happy hunting
