I have an Acoustasonic Pro Amp with the 99 digital effects, and a Boss RC-20XL Loop pedal. When using my Loop pedal under normal recommended setup, if I change effects on the Amp it applies that effect to all existing loops. Example - just to be 100% clear - I record a loop with "flange" effect selected, then I want to solo on top of flange with "reverb" effect. If I record the flange and then select reverb effect, it applies reverb to the original "flange" loop and I've got all reverb. Not good.

Is there a way to connect my Loop pedal so that I can record a loop with one effect, then overdub with a different selected effect?

Listing my inputs on Amp and loop pedal below. Looking for a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I need new equipment, please recommend! Thanks all!

Acoustasonic Pro-
Instrument Channel Outboard FX Loop- 1 Send, 1 Receive (1/4")
Master Stereo Outboard FX Loop- 1L, 1R Send 1L, 1R Receive (1/4")
Tuner (1/4")
Direct (XLR)
Footswitch (XLR)
Front of Amp has 2 Instrument (1/4"), 1 Mic (XLR), and 1 Aux Input (RCA)

RC-20XL Loop pedal-
IN- 1/4" Instrument, 1/4" Mic, Headphone jack Aux
Phase Shift (1/4")
Reverse (1/4")
Output (1/4")

Hi dkelley210,

The term "loop" for the pedal means to repeat the recorded part continuously, while the "loop" in the amp is part of the signal path. Not sure if you knew that the pedal doesn't necessarily go in the effects loop of the amp.

What exactly is the "normal recommended setup"?

If you put the "loop" pedal into the effects "loop" of the amp, the amp effect will be recorded onto the loop pedal, and you will get whichever other amp effect selected for the overdub on top of the already recorded loop, but it won't cancel out the effect that is already on the recorded loop. If you put the loop pedal into the input of the amp, no effects will be recorded on any of the loops recorded with the pedal. Keep in mind that if using the loop pedal in the amp loop, any effects added on the overdub will add that effect to the entire signal, so you will get a "reverbed flange" if flange on the first loop and reverb on the overdub, and no way around it.

Hi Folks- I am brand new as of an hour ago on this forum so: Please excuse the ignorance, but I'm looking for a little help-
I want to determine the cure for the 'ocean sound' that rises and falls out of my Acoustasonic 30-DSP amp. I have been told that this is more than likely the Filter caps that have been fried (more thank likely by a girl 'singer' who thought she could scream and grate into a mike at loud volume on this amp-I rushed over to it as fast as poss to lower it, but the damage may have already been done- TMI, I know....SO:
I have loosened he holding screws for the amp at the top of the cab,and that loosens the amp, but there is still the issue of the speaker connection at the center of the back that needs disconnecting. how to get to this without clipping the thing?
Thanks for any helphttp://www.fender.com/community/for ... 3&t=62522#
